Frank Stella inspired samples:

Here I collected other photos of samples that were directly inspired by the paintings of Frank Stella. Even though it is not easy to reproduce the artist’s design using a table-loom, I tried to achieve a similar graphic effect in my fabrics. The lines are straight and neat but sometimes the weft must appear and this could distract the eyes of an hypothetical observer. In one of the latest samples, I tried to overcome the problem by using a matching thread (same color in weft and warp) but personally I prefer the version with the black weft because the pattern is distorted and becomes more interesting (perhaps it is worth considering a third color-red for instance- to create different effects).
